Coltan Thompson
Registered Psychologist
Originally from rural Nova Scotia, I have lived in Alberta for several years and appreciate what Edmonton has to offer. Like many people, I discovered my academic and professional path in my undergraduate studies, developing strong interests in psychology and philosophy.
Continuing my studies in the UK, I obtained an MSc in Clinical and Health Psychology and worked for a time supporting individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities. I then made counselling psychology my main pursuit, which brought me to the University of Alberta and becoming a Psychologist.
I am a Registered Psychologist and take a person-centered, existential, and trauma-informed approach to my work with clients. I am passionate about working with adults of all ages, teens 13+, and LGBTQ+ identifying individuals.
